I have been involved with motor sport and the Hamilton Car Club since the late 90’s when I purchased a Mazda GTX and came along with a friend to a gravel autocross at the old Council yard on Duke St, I decided to enter and have a go, I have been hooked ever since. I am a regular entrant at a clubsport events , after building a dedicated competition car several years ago and running as a safety can in several Waitomo Rally’s I am looking forward to entering a rally soon.
When not competing (and often when competing as well) I look after event results, timing and communications, and club points, as well as being the club treasurer and looking after club memberships and the mailing list. I have been a member of the committee for about 5 years.
I also get involved with Rally New Zealand and other rallies from time to time as timing marshal, and from time to time fill a gap on a track recovery crew.
Outside of motorsport my interests are my Family and recently I have take to RC Helicopter flying in a (somewhat vein) attempt to find something cheaper to tinker with at nights. |
